In a unexpected collaboration that challenges traditional predictions, the game developer has revealed an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering free extra story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Questline Disclosed

According to the authorized announcement, "A mysterious meeting leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where rumors of banned rituals and monstrous metamorphoses resonate through the obscurity." The narrative presents a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a secret group.

The questline focuses on "bizarre tests and a monstrous foe" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Settings and Metamorphoses

The preview showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser finishes with a striking moment showing a character, likely the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Rewards and Additional Content

Players who successfully complete the quest will obtain an unique katana alongside several objects secreted throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:
